Strain gage

Fiber optic strain gauges are suitable for various applications ranging from medical devices to research and development of new material and structural health monitoring in civil engineering. These sensors can be used as a load cell when properly installed and calibrated. In addition to their miniature size, our fiber optic strain sensors are immune to EMI, RFI and lightning. They are functional on wide temperature ranges and have extremely low thermal sensitivity and transverse sensitivity.

With different designs and configurations, our products present the following characteristics:

  • High sensitivity (>0.1% FS)
  • Long-range capability; 4km of cable
  • No interference due to cable bending
  • Absolute measurements in engineering units
